For those of you who like Mountains. Honestly, this is probably what I'd play if Regionals were tomorrow:

    2x Lavaclaw Reaches
    2x Terramorphic Expanse
    4x Dragonskull Summit
    1x Swamp
    4x Arid Mesa
    3x Scalding Tarn
    8x Mountain

    4x Goblin Guide
    4x Plated Geopede
    4x Hellspark Elemental
    4x Hell's Thunder
    1x Goblin Bushwacker
    3x Zektar Shrine Expedition

    4x Blightning
    4x Lightning Bolt
    4x Burst Lightning
    4x Earthquake

    Sideboard:
    3x Manabarbs
    4x Goblin Ruinblaster
    4x Doom Blade
    4x Searing Blaze

so splash black just for blightning and sideboard doomblade? i dont know. i think i would prefer a RG shell like John Loucks played at the PT

    4 goblin guide
    4 hellspark elemental
    4 ripclan crasher
    4 ball lightning
    4 hell's thunder
    4 bloodbraid elf

    4 lightning bolt
    4 searing blaze
    2 colossal might
    2 burst lightning

    4 raging ravine
    4 rootbound crag
    6 mountain
    2 forest
    2 terramorphic expanse
    4 scalding tarn
    2 arid mesa/teetering peaks/smolderning spire

not his exact list but pretty close. bloodbraid always cascades into a threat. might even consider 2 violent outburst for more cascade action.

I went to the black splash for Walletslayer and Firewalker related reasons. It really really really helps against those two cards. Perhaps the Doom Blades should just be deathmarks. The RG list looks good though.

You might want to talk to Johnny Yu and see what his feelings about Bloodchief Ascension are after having wrecked states with an Rb burny aggro list. I believe he was maindecking Ascension, Blightning, and some number of Terminate, with some slave of bolas on the side for dealing with bankslayers, too. Doomblade seems better than terminate right now because the only thing that matters that it can't hit are Putrid Leech and Vampire Nocturnus. Taking out Firewalkers seems more important to me.

My testing with Bloodchief Ascension when Zendikar came out told me it was a win-more card. I remember talking to Johnny about it after States, but I don't remember what he said. I suppose I can find out sometime next week.
